Miss Hamill's catering is a dream to work with. Prior to the wedding, Jay was prompt and thorough with his communication, making sure to cover everything.
On the wedding day, Danielle and her team executed everything flawlessly. They were communicative, thorough, intentional, and the food was amazing! The guests were requesting to take lobster rolls home because they were so delicious!
As a planner, I am always looking for caterers who will deliver top quality food, as well as a seamless, calm, and inviting experience. Miss Hamill's is all of this and more.
I would recommend them to any and all couples and will continue to recommend them to my own couples. You will not be disappointed with Miss Hamill's!

Jay and the entire Miss Hamill’s team created a truly outstanding experience for our 150-person wedding this past weekend at the Boothbay Harbor Shipyard.
Right from the start, Jay jumped in, asked thoughtful questions, and even got in touch with the venue manager to get ahead of how we could bring our cocktail hour and family-style dinner vision to life. Us, being seemingly inept at planning a wedding, greatly appreciated the support and guidance Jay readily provided from a menu, rentals, and overall dining experience perspective. He was quick to jump into email threads with other partners, clarify needs, and help us move forward.
And that’s just on the process. We received feedback from multiple guests saying that Miss Hamill’s work was “truly outstanding” and “the best food they’d ever had at a wedding”. Jay was able to take a family recipe and create it for all of our guests, which was very special to us— and also addressed my husband’s primary concern of everyone having enough food (“I’ll make enough pasta so you’ll never go hungry again” were the words I believe preceded our contract). We can attest that our family style meal felt far more like eating at a nice restaurant than a typical wedding dinner experience.
Overall, we can’t recommend Jay and Miss Hamill’s enough. They absolutely go above and beyond in support and service (shout out to the very kind and engaging catering staff as well!), and were just a joy to work with. We’re so thankful!

Miss Hamill’s was hands down our favorite vendor to work with for our 200-person wedding in Maine this past August! From start to finish, they were organized, thoughtful, and incredibly caring — you can truly tell that they love what they do.
Jay and Danielle took the time to get to know us and our tastes, and their passion for food really showed. We had a pre-call to plan the menu, and they were so flexible and collaborative — offering fantastic suggestions for everything from passed appetizers to entrees. They designed a personalized, family-style dinner that felt so warm and special, and the use of seasonal ingredients elevated every dish.
As a couple who loves trying new restaurants and unique flavors, we immediately connected with them over their shared love of food. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the meal was — so many people told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding.
Their attention to detail went above and beyond. They built the most beautiful raw bar cart that added so much to our cocktail hour aesthetic and put together gorgeous table scapes for our charcuterie table. They even scraped all of our dinner plates (we sourced our own china) at the end of the night. They handled every twist and turn of the day with grace and smiles. Miss Hamill’s is everything you could want in a caterer — talented, professional, and genuinely kind people.
If you’re lucky enough to book them, do it! You’ll be so glad you did.
